    Another "bug" ist that you can have unlimited weapons, when you buy some from the box.


    I don't think that's really a problem ^^ And anyway wiht the normal weapon box price, people buy 1 or 2 weapons max at a time.


    tripwires for assassins didnt work yesterday when i played

    I think you need to be a lot more precise, otherwise Viking will never be able to fix anything ^^
    What do you mean by "tripwires didn't work"? You couldn't plant them? You could plant them and see them but they weren't exploding? You could plant them but then you couldn't see them and they weren't exploding? Or any other details that could help understanding where the bug comes from.
    Btw, I think that if you die after planting a tripwire, it will disappear. You have to stay alive from the time you planted it to the time somone walks over it for it to work.

    @HD I think several of those bugs may come from the bots.


    1. What map did you play on? For example airsupport is disabled on lolzor (and poolday as well I think).


    2. Are you sure it was unlimited? Did you shoot only once or more than 3 times? Maybe it's not written how many shots are left so you thought it was unlimited, but maybe you actually had only 3 shots?


    3. May be because of bots.


    4. Pretty sure that's coz of bots. Same thing happened to me, at the moment when some bots disconnected.


    5. Even when bots disappear at the end of a round, they're still on the server even if they're nowhere visible. They automatically disconnect after a while (they're visible through xfire I think though).



    About the killstreaks, maybe you used the switch command? After you use it to become guard again, it seems you don't get the killstreaks. From what I've experienced.



    I think we should test without bots cause they seem to cause a lot of weird issues.
    The problems with killcams etc, that I showed in the videos, may come from them as well I think.


    I'll add a command on the public ktk server so that people will be able to join directly the server by writing it.
    But first I want to test more maps to see which ones don't work anymore, and adjust the map rotation with only small/medium maps so it's easier to test with only a few players.

    I don't understand what you want. Your screenshots show your prestige on OUR server. If you lost your prestige on our server and want them back, you need to write here:
    Kill the King - Lost your prestige? Write here.


    If you want half the prestiges from another KTK server, you wrote in the right thread, but you need to put screenshots showing your rank on the other server, not on our server.


    Also, it's okay if you don't have xfire, but it will surely take more time to restore your prestige than if you have it.

    I guess no defuse is not very good for the game. Makes rounds much faster.


    The defuse feature was made by Duffman and added to the mod, so it only exists on 3xP'. As the test server uses "clean" files from Viking, the defuse feature just doesn't exist in it. We'll try to implement it when we update the mod on the public server.


    For now, I reduced a bit the damage dealt by the explosion so the king won't die in one shot (should take effect next map).



    Edit: Another bug which just happened on .30, and has been existing for a long time: Sometimes when you throw a knife, it somehow thouches the target twice in a row very quickly, and so inflicts twice the dmg. So it happens only on king and terminator since guards die in 1 hit ^^ I guess the bug still happens in .31 since I hadn't reported it before, and it's not in the changelog for .31.


    Highrise is in it, Favela, Rust and Terminal too ^^


    Highrise and Rust works without a problem, the other 2 ones need a test.


    @UFaced it's in the rotation. (Highrise and Rust) Until you get your Carepackage at Highrise, the Round is almost over. Takes a few minutes -.-

    What do you mean about Highrise? That it's hard to find people to kill? ^^


    backlot_2 would be cool too. Esp. for much players. But idk if it will crash the xmodel limit


    We had it for a while on the server. But then after a mod update the map wasn't working anymore with the mod. And anyway, even if it can be fun once in a while, it shouldn't be in rotation because if the king really wants to hide, he'll never die and that can become really boring ^^ This map is so huge with so many hiding spots. It's in the maps list already btw.

    what about cod6 maps? highrise and co


    Highrise is already in rotation (or maybe only in the maps list? I think it's in rotation). No idea about the other CoD6 maps, I almost never played CoD6 ^^ But if anyone thinks some would be good, you can write a post with the required info :P (dl link, screenshots etc)

    As you can see, some of them are already in the rotation, but many aren't.


    If you think some of these maps should be added to the rotation, just let me know. You can first test those maps by calling a vote in-game to put the map.


    If several players suggest here that a map is good enough to be put in the rotation, I'll add it.

    This thread is directed to trusted players and members.



    If I enabled voting for trusted players, it's mostly for 2 reasons:


    1) When there aren't many players on the server, at night for instance, you can put a map that pleases everyone.


    2) You can put maps that aren't played so often, or maps that aren't in the rotation but are in the map list, to change a bit from the usual rotation.



    What I don't want, is that you use this feature to put maps that are already played a lot, like lolzor, uprise, poolday, slide, nuketown... You can do that when there are only a few players on the server to get a population boost, but if there are already many people on the server, don't call votes for such popular maps. It will just kill the maps diversity, which we already lack IMO.



    Also a note to members: Even though you can do !map directly, I'd prefer that in most cases you use !vote map, because it's better to put a map that most players want to play.
    Except if it's to test a new map, then it's maybe even better to use !map directly.



    One last thing, I think it's better to be towards the end of a map to call a vote (around 8th, 9th or 10th round), or at least to wait for a round to end (it sucks when you're King and map changes :P )

    There is a different version of Bakaara with less custom models in it, so if the one I added doesn't work, I can try to replace it with the version with less models.

    I just played with Kurosaki on the Test server, and some weird stuff happened ^^


    1) You see the guy in white above his RC-XD when you are in fullbright -> 130144604-4.jpg
    Also at this point in the game, I was king, and Kurosaki wasn't able to see me. I was in front of him but apparently I was invisible for him O.o He also wasn't hearing me when I was shooting, but he saw the clays I planted.


    2) Final killcams are really weird. They are either shown from a very weird angle, or the king is invisible in it (no matter fullbright or not fullbright). I think there were some "normal" killcams, but I'm not sure, didn't kill the king a lot.

    It may have something to do with the bots though. At some point while playing, bots disconnected, and it said the king had left, though I was the king during that round... So that was really weird. The bots are not "regular" bots I think, Duffman made a script to change them. Maybe @mirko911 can tell us more about this ^^



    PS: I checked again for the hardpoints. I think I didn't get RC-XD because I was using the switch command to put myself back in the guard team. If king kills me, looks like everything works fine. I enabled airsupport for shipment and now I get all hardpoints ^^

    Should be fixed, i never came across this.


    It's kinda rare. Happened again yesterday on our public server on 2.09.30.



    All tests i ran with hardpoints were fine, make sure you don't have an airstrike/helicopter chosen on a map which has no airsupport set in config ;)


    Damn I'm stupid, it was disabled by default on shipment in the cfg... So that's why they weren't appearing lol. Though I think I really didn't get the RC-XD after the first round. Anyway, I'll test again :P



    I'm currently working on the scripts to disable hardpoints separately for each map.

    Just checked the scripts of the final killcam and there already are dvars to define the length:
    set scr_killcam_time 10 // length from killcam start to killcam end
    set scr_killcam_posttime 2 // time after player death that killcam continues for


    As far as I know scr_killcam_time defines the time of the "regular" killcam, not the final killcam. Or at least on our server, these times are different, so if they should be the same, there's a bug ^^
    Btw, is it possible to see the killcam when you get killed as a guard by an assassin? For now we can only see the kc as assassin killed by a guard.



    Edit: I edited the config so now Javelin can be shot 3 times, and weaponbox price is 2 for guards and 1 for assassins :P Thanks for the dvars Viking :P

    Can you (re)add bots to the testserver? Its always empty. Thanks.


    Well they disappear each round and I don't know how to make them "permanent" so I'm waiting for @mirko911 to help me :P


    Kinda offtopic: but when this new mod will be installed on public ktk server everyone loses prestige? and when you restore it can you restore levels too?
    Because when you are like level 51 of this prestige, then you have to do all those levels again..takes some hours.


    No one should lose their prestige. But last time we updated the mod, about 1/3 people lost it somehow. So I added the message on the server just in prevention. And yeah if necessary we can restore levels as well.

    You can see all the maps that are in the list by typing !maps :P

    Well I'm not sure that he's lying actually, he could be messing things up in his head ^^ He told me all the time he was lvl 26, and then he found he screenshot where he is 25.


    What bothers me a LOT Redboys, is that you aren't even trying to answer any of my interrogations. You're just repeating: "I want my level back I have proof I don't lie".



    What I want to know is:


    When did you begin playing on the 3xP' DR server?
    When did you stop playing on the 3xP' DR server?
    When did you start playing again on the 3xP' DR server?


    Answer all these questions please.


    What I believe is that you used to play "long time ago", was level 26, and only came back to play again recently. Is that true?


    Maybe you can tell us from when is the screenshot is?



    And seriously, if you don't answer all those questions, I'll just close the thread and won't give you back any level.

    Pff 1,5 months without any suggestion, and now 8 maps at once -.- :D

    As Kuro said, some of these maps may already be on our gameserver, though maybe not in the ktk MAM map list, I'll check that. Those which are already in the MAM vote list, you can call votes for them whenever you want already indeed.


    So first what I'll do is I'll upload all the missing maps on the server, and make sure all these maps are in the MAM map list, so you can call votes for them.


    Then I'll take the time to quickly test them to see where I should put them in the dynamic map rotation, and add them little by little (except if I hate them :D ).

    Hello guys!


    Viking recently updated KTK, so I decided to set up a test server before updating the mod on the public server, to make sure first there's no big issue with the mod, and also to help Viking improving the mod :)

    You can also type !ktktest while on our public KTK server to join it directly.


    Here's the changelog from Viking:


    I set the weaponbox price to 1 so you could easily test it (assassins can now buy stuff from it as well).


    I'll try to put bots on the server so you can also test if you join the server alone. Bots cause bugs.




    Bugs found:
    - Not getting the hardpoints. First round I played, I got RC-XD but not the rest. All the other rounds, I got nothing at all.
    Mostly because there were no airsupport on the map I played, my bad. Everything should be ok with hardpoints, to be confirmed though.


    - Can't pick up .44 magnum. When I get it from the box it falls on the ground.
    When it comes from CP it works though.
    ✓ Fixed


    - Final Killcam is sometimes extremely short (not at all the same length as regular killcams).
    Suggestion: Maybe you could make a dvar to choose final killcam length separetely from regular killcam length?


    - Rarely: As king (maybe as Terminator too), sometimes hit twice (very quickly) by a single throwing knife.


    - On 2.09.30: Very rarely, server gets stuck with no vote at the end of a map (or maybe the vote happens, but then the map doesn't change anyway). Fixed?



    Improvement ideas:
    - Maybe add a new dvar so we can set a different price for the box depending on whether you're assassin or guard. ✓ Done


    - As assassin when buying from the box, make so that we can't get the weapon we already have. Otherwise frustrating loss of points. Done?


    - tripwre as assassin: good or bad idea? Maybe add a cfg to let us choose what you can get from the box as assassin. ✓ Done
    (btw tripwre spelling mistake -> tripwire?)
    ✓ Done


    - Say what we got from box when buying (you got a Javelin, you got Intervention, you got CP,...). Like when it says "you got some knives", or "you got tripwre".


    - Not sure infinite ammo for Javelin is a good idea. Maybe 3 shots would be better. ✓ Done


    - Make RPG inflict some self damage (dvar controlled). -> Added a dvar to remove any weapon on the ground.


    - Help menu improvements (in progress).




    Edit:
    Stuff which needs to be tested/verified:
    - Do settings reset or not after a map change or after you reconnect? (talking about this: k9hppk.jpg) Everything is okay now for me (at least for XP and slave instead of dog)
    - Any problem concerning Hardpoints (for exemple, not earning any). -> I'm not getting: Auto weapon as King; Predator; Sentry Gun. To be checked: Heli, MOAB.




    I'll edit the list with everything you guys report on this thread.
    Also it's good if you can write whether you got the same bugs as I did, or if you didn't have it and everything was fine for you (for the hardpoints for example).


    Also, please report if you have trouble joining the server, game crashing, problem to download the mod, etc... And how and what exactly happened (at what point did the game crash,...).
