    Though I'll give you some advice about your application, because good feedback is sometimes not enough.


    I think you should edit it and pay attention to:
    - spelling mistakes and syntax
    - the shaping of your text. It's really not pleasurable to read such a block of text. Make sentences (=different ideas should be separated with dots, and you could make a few paragraphs instead of one block).


    Right now it looks like you just created the thread, wrote one huge sentence is 5 minutes, and posted the thread.

    We conducted some Tests with the Crate and the Tripwire is kinda Overpowered. Its able to One-Hit Kill the King and all other enemies within reach. Its a nice Idea for Guards to be on guard (:P) but the Power of the explosion is making it to deadly.

    It's okay since if I got this right, Viking modified the files to let the admins choose which weapons the assassins will be able to get from the box. So I'll be able to disable tripwire.



    Another thing i found out is, the King starts with Slight of Hand i presume from seeing his default Reloading Speed, right? After he got downed and revived he looses that Perk. Not sure if Intented so im just mentioning it if it might not be.

    Wasn't this like that is previous KTK versions as well? As well as for guards? I think it does it if you don't have sleight of hand enabled in unlockables. If you "bought" it in unlockables, you'll still have it after you got revived. Tell me if I'm wrong :D


    I would like to see the option to choose between dog or slave. I really hate being dog to be honest. Should this be possible? Or not allowed because of the rules.


    That's actually an awesome idea!
    @Viking I think he means adding an option (in player options) to be able to choose, when you're picked as dog/slave, whether you'll be dog or slave.
    I actually hate being dog, and I know many people do. But I see it as a part of the mod, and many newbies like the dog/want to be dog, so I didn't remove it for every map. On the other hand I love being the first assassin/slave.
    So if it's possible for everyone to choose this in options, it would make everyone happy!
    Edit: Could be in addition or instead of the "no dog maps" dvar. If removing the "no dog maps" dvar makes it possible to start the game with 2 players instead of 3, then I'd prefer instead and not in addition :P

    Javelins dont have ammo to use after acquiring as an Assassin from the Box.


    Another thing, after some testing we realised People of each others teams are able to climb each other building a tower. Isnt that a good idea for Assassins reaching campy places through making a Human Tower?
    I know the disadvantage of that being able to block each other again. Just an idea of me.

    And I also didn't understand if you meant that assassins can climb on other assassins and guards over other guards, or assassins can climb over guards (or the contrary)?

Actually, we had decided (when I created the 3xP' rules thread), before you removed the rule, that it applied only to 1v1 rooms (rooms where people can enter only one by one), it didn't apply at all to rooms like OLD.

    I think you haven't read what I wrote.
    The map list and the rotation are 2 different things.


    The map list (in the spoiler) is the MAM map list for the KTK server, which means here are all the maps you will see when you do !maps, which are all the maps a trusted player/member/admin can put or vote for by using a MAM command.


    The rotation is the actual rotation of the server, so it regroups all the maps which will appear at the end-vote on the server. Those are the maps written in one of the config of the mod.


    Some maps are in the MAM map list but NOT in the rotation, that's why I made this thread actually.


    mp_mw2_term was actually one of these maps that were in the map list but not in the rotation, so it was totally normal if it didn't appear in the vote at the end of the map. I added it on Sunday though since HD had suggested it on the KTK maps suggestions thread, so now it should appear.

    @UFaced my honest opinion is : Start a new vote on the forum on the 'Respect rule' , let the people vote. Then if you agree with the decision voted by the people, make it reality. Try working on that. Opinions have changed.


    I know opinions may have changed, I stated it in my post. It's up to Expert to call a vote or do whatever he thinks is best, he's the DR admin :P Was just saying my opinion on the subject, as a fellow member of the community ;)

    What the fuck is "the dr goal"? :D Do you yourself define what the goal of dr is?


    To me, I'm going to tell you what the dr goal is: It's to have fun. As with every game. Based on this, the rule should be enabled or disabled based on what the community prefers.
    We had many discussions about this already, and the only time we called a vote on this matter (which was over a year ago), there were a lot more people in favor of the rule, than people against. Now maybe it has changed, idk, it was long ago.
    I'm not going to give all my arguments over and over again, I already wrote books about this. There are indeed arguments in favor of the rule as well as against the rule. So I think the best in this case is to let the community choose to make the most people happy. Just my opinion indeed :P


    Okay so what you put in the spoiler are ALL the custom models you could remove?
    So what you put in the vote are all the weapons you can possibly remove I guess. Thought there were more than this ^^


    Btw, I think removing the world models is a bad idea. It would really suck to think your opponent has a certain weapon, but actually has another one. You can sometimes act differently depending on what weapon your ennemy has. Not often, okay, but anyway it'd suck :D


    Another question, if you remove crossbow, I suppose it means removing crossbow with regular arrows + crossbow with explosives? Coz that would really suck IMO ^^


    If my opinion can influence someone, I'd personnaly remove first MG42, second mosin-nagant, third Javelin (if needed).


    One last thing, if regular CoD4 weapons are obliged to load anyway, why not putting them in the mod? Like mp5, scorpion... Are you obliged to use the regular weapons names for the custom weapons? Or cannot you just make up new names for the custom weapons?
    Anyway, even if that's a problem, if you remove 2 or 3 weapons, you'll be able to add the "regular" weapons instead, I guess. Don't know if I was really clear :D

    One question:


    If we remove only a few attachements for several weapons, would we be able to keep all the weapons (but with less attachments)? Because if yes I think that'd be the best to do. Like removing ACOG, grip (don't remember if grips are in the mod), grenade launcher...
    Though as far as I remember some "ACOGs" for example look different on the weapon in your mod than in the "regular" CoD4 game. Tell me if I'm wrong. These ones should stay. But I feel like regular CoD4 ACOG should go. I think same goes for "reflex". If I remember well, for example it looks different (and very good) on the famas, but when it looks like the "regular" reflex of CoD4 (red dot sight, is that it?), it should be removed as well IMO.


    If we can do that I think it'd be way better than getting rid of a complete weapon.


    If removing weapons is mandatory, I'd suggest removing M14, maybe MP44, maybe MG42, or maybe less used weapons like dragunov, or maybe M21 non-silenced (if it exists in the mod, don't remember). And one of the "sucky" pistols as well (usp or colt45, is that it? Don't remember if there are others).



    What I'd say, really don't remove:
    - the worldmodels
    - Crossbow
    - Intervention
    - L96A1
    - Magnum
    - Minigun
    - Silenced m21
    - Throwing knife
    - Famas
    - Aug

    if you are only player in game you cant goof around (you are like frozzen and cant move until few players are in game and the game starts)


    It has always been this way in all KTK versions ^^ 3 players are needed to start the game. But since @Viking is an awesome guy he'll change it to 2, won't he? :D

    1. Can you tell me which map was played and which was voted?
    Also could you check the log, maybe it's because a wrong mapname is given back from the vote.


    Someone needs to help me there, as I don't remember well. I usually come on the server after this happened, to change the map and fix the problem. The thing I don't remember, is if the last round just ends and no vote appears, or if there is a vote but after the vote nothing happens?
    Also, from what I remember, it doesn't happen on a specific map. But I may be wrong.


    2. the finalkillcam uses the same dvars as the normal killcam because the scripts are basically the same.

    Test the maps local on your computer please, i don't think it's a good idea to crash the server every now and then


    Can this really cause problems? O.o Just a server restart and everything is fine, isn't it?


    1. I was throwing some knives now and i did never inflict damage twice.
    Do you also throw two knives when it happens (ammo reduced by two)?
    What's the damage you have set for the throwing knives?
    Maybe it hits the player a second time on its way to the ground.


    Dmg is set to 134 (so it can kill terminator in 3 hits if you play really well ;) ). But I think this bug was happening before I changed the value.
    I'm pretty sure I don't throw 2 knives. Can't be 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure I always had 3 knives to throw in total even when one was hitting twice.
    Maybe it hits him on his way to the ground yes. But it's really really quick. Like if you shoot 2 bullets of a fast automatic gun in a row (I mean the hitmarkers are very close).


    Just added the dvars to define which weapons the assassins get from the box, and the dvars to disable the hardpoints separately on each map
    Both things will come with the next mod.ff. (when depends on how much you find in the current mod ^^)

    To clear things up: Yes, a member was kicking for reconnecting as dog, he thought it was a rule, I told him it was allowed and now he doesn't do it anymore. Sorry about that.


    As said before, it's not because a player doesn't play well that he is a "noob", he may just be a new player learning to play. Nothing justifies insults, and noob is an insult even though it's not the worst insult ever. Repeating it all the time indeed becomes annoying and I understand IHDI's punishment.

    Not even talking about how short your application is, it definitely doesn't respect the mandatory information: CoD4 Trusted player application - Read before applying.


    The play-time is actually a criteria, but it's only one criteria out of several others, and it's not the most important. Because you can play a lot and still be an asshole (talking in general, not about you - it's just to make you understand why playtime isn't everything).


    You can edit your app to get a chance if you want, otherwise it will be rejected tomorrow evening.

    No, I mean when you call in your Carepackage, you need to wait like 2 minutes till it drops.

    Everyone ends up in the Guards team. The King can die how many times you want, the round will never end. And quickly there's no assassin anymore so everyone is guard and has nothing to do x) And the King's heli keeps following the King (as usual) and kills him over and over again (not usual) xD
