    Radish I assume you are talking about Tutto Sborrato. Well, you can ask him if you want, he hit me up on xfire to ask me if I could join the server to give his rank back. So I came and set his prestige. If it had been you, I would have done exactly the same. I told you xfire can really help to speed up the process. Because I see what you write at the exact moment you write it (except if I'm afk indeed), since a window pops up on my screen. While if you use the shoutbox or PM, I'll only see it when I check the forums, and maybe I'll see it too late and you won't be in game anymore.
    Now indeed you're not obliged to install xfire, I can understand it if you don't want to install a software to use it maybe only once. But don't come here to whine afterwards, because you're just unlucky that I haven't seen you in game yet. I was very busy the last 2 weeks, now I have a bit more free time.

    I don't think a small bug is a valuable enough reason to remove a map if people mostly like the map, however yes killing the acti before reaching the end of the map is a bug abuse and should be punished as stated in the rules.

The only thing you actually gain by talking like this is exactly what you're talking about: stupid arguments. While suggesting things and discussing nicely can actually bring something (not in all cases indeed; but if it doesn't work out, it also wouldn't have worked out if you had spoken like an asshole - So talking like an asshole is always useless).


    2. About the "you know which trusted", this is off-topic. If you don't want stupid arguments, don't do off-topic. This is completely unrelated to the current case.
    About doing something about hebuno, we NEVER said we wouldn't. This whole argument between you and me had only one purpose: telling you to stop acting like an ass. In no way it changed anything about what we would do about the situation. As I stated above, speaking like you do brings only one thing: "stupid" arguments.


    So now the official warning (related to your first post, not the discussion that followed): Stop talking like this, stop acting like this (stop giving orders, stop swearing). This is toxic behavior, and we don't need this, and I won't take the time to write this much to explain to you why anymore - next time, you'll simply be demoted, I don't have the time to take care of this shit all the time. Hopefully you'll understand, I hate giving warnings and demoting people.

    You clearly didn't understand Viruz's post (or Viruz, tell me if I'm wrong). Because as far as I understand, Viruz's post is in favor of Luna. So please make sure you understand people's posts before posting.
    And about 2), yeah sure, if you want to be demoted keep giving bullshit orders and acting like you're the big boss and everyone should be at your feet.


    I'm completely not against players/trusted players or whoever else giving their opinion on a matter, I actually think it's a good thing, but when said the way you do it, I hate it, and I'm sure everyone hates it. It's a not a proper way to talk to anyone, be it on the Internet on IRL. So stop acting like a spoiled child who thinks he is the boss.



    Edit: I'm still pretty sure you haven't understood Viruz's point of view. Except if it's me who doesn't understand it, but I doubt it.
    To me he is clearly saying that Hebuno should have given her, at max, a 1 week tempban (even if she did it 4 times), so the permban is clearly an abuse.

    Maybe before spamming twice a day, you could try reading the first post of this thread? Didn't it cross your mind that maybe I didn't write a whole post just for fun, and that the information asked could be useful?


    To make things clear, I'll repeat what is already written : I'm busy, often on my phone when I'm on the forums, and not on my PC, so even if you see me online on forums, it's possible that I can't help you at the moment;

    You haven't given me your stats page, and you haven't installed/added me on xfire. Now indeed you're not obliged to, but it's just way easier, because if you see me online on xfire, it means I'm on my PC and I will surely be available.


    Now, as you don't have a pic to prove your 16 or 18 prestige (you're not even sure yourslef...), and that the screenshot with the highest prestige is 12, I'll put you to prestige 13 (if ever you edit your post with the required info, otherwise I won't bother taking more of my time for you).


    I'll also delete many of the previous posts, to keep the thread clean.

    I think you're totally right.
    So, wouldn't it be actually possible to edit stock maps in some way (Idk anything about that, except that I've seen stock maps on some promod servers which have edited textures/colors, on the barrels for example), so that you would put very visible arrows of different colors on certain known paths, and paint splashes on the "bouncing spots" on the way, and maybe differently shaped splashes on the point you should reach after the bounce, to create (or more like, to show) several CJ paths on stock maps. And when you've reached the end of a path at the top of a building or smth, you would write in a circle smth like "Congratulations - you've completed Backlot path n°3 - Difficulty: Inter" (the difficulty should be written at the beginning of the path maybe).


    Not needed to show ALL the paths - I guess there are too many possibilities on stock maps? but maybe just drawing 3 to 5 paths among the best/funniest/longest ones, so that everyone could have fun for a while on a maps, in a more easy way - I think part of the reason why stock maps CJ servers are empty, is because if you're alone and join a stock map server, and you have no one to help you, you will just get stuck easily on the way, and minimizing the game to check a youtube video to remember where to go/where to bounce, or the right way to bounce every 30 seconds is just too annoying.


    More advanced CJ players would still be able to choose/find other or new paths on the map indeed. Or to use sometimes different bounces on a certain defined path. I think it's not important at all to show all the possibilities to reach one particular point, as long as there is ONE path anyone can follow for a little while.


    I think it would really change everything and could lead to a populated server in the end. If it's possible indeed (but in the "worse" case, it's possible to take a stock map and make it a "custom/downloadable" map to be able to edit it, isn't it?), and if anyone would be willing to do this for some maps indeed.

    I think he means that if we have a server, he can tell a friend : "Hey let's go have some fun together on the stock map server", so they'll be at least 2, which is way better than playing alone already :P And he could do that whenever he wants, even if it's maybe not often. He can't do that with devmap.

    I don't know you, but just by reading your application I can tell 3 things:


    - You didn't read this: CoD4 Trusted player application - Read before applying.
    - You definitely don't speak English perfectly. I don't think I would have mentioned it if it wasn't for the fact that you actually said you speak it perfectly. But really, saying this and making at least 10 big grammar mistakes in a 6 lines text, that's not really a smart thing to do. Especially when you're from the UK, to me it just shows a lack of interest, as it means you clearly didn't put a lot of effort into your app.
    - Your app is just a block of text, from what I see, you didn't even take a second to try to give it a nice shaping.


    Now I don't know how you behave in-game, but if you're a nice guy and get good feedback, and if you edit your app with the required info and format it in a better way, you may still have a chance to become trusted player. Feedback is really important though, as I don't know you personally, with no feedback form trusted players and/or members, I can't accept your app.

  • 3xP' CoD4 server rules - Discussion


    I don't know if trusted players have the !kill cmd currently, but I think maybe they shouldn't, because the problem is that it doesn't show up on the banlist, so they can easily abuse it and we'll hardly ever notice it.
    I'll see with Mirko if it's possible maybe to make them appear on the banlist (and to have to give a reason for the kill -> !kill <player> <reason>). If it's possible then I'll change the punishments and add !kill before the kick, as you wrote.


    PS: I won't change the rule numbers, I'll just state that the rule #3 is obsolete, because it would fuck up with the premade reasons numbers and I don't want to edit the whole file :P

  • CoD4 - Punishments for rule breakers

    Here you can find the list of punishments associated to our rules (see here: 3xP' CoD4 server rules).




    - Punishments linked to General Rules -


    Apply on all of our CoD4 servers.


    #1 - No cheating/hacking.
    => Obviously, zero tolerance for any kind of cheats.
    => Permanent ban.



    #2 - Respect each other.
    => No swearing or racism of any kind is tolerated on our servers. Also no flaming/spamming.
    => 1) Warn; 2) Kick; 3) 1 day ban; 4) 1 week ban.



    #3 - English or German only.
    => English and German are the only languages accepted on our server.
    => 1) Warn; 2) Kick; 3) 1 hour ban; 4) 1 day ban.



    #4 - No advertising.
    => Don't advertise for other CoD4 servers.
    => 1) Kick; 2) 1 day ban; 3) 1 month ban.



    #5 - Don't annoy admins.
    => Don't repeatedly ask for stuff like map change, kicking/banning someone, and all admin-related stuff.
    Overall, don't tell admins what their job is, they know it well enough.
    => 1) Warn; 2) Kick; 3) 15 min ban; 4) 12 hours ban.



    #6 - Don't use an offensive name & Don't fake names/tags.
    => Basically all insulting names, towards anyone. Also, don't use the tag of a team/clan you're not in, and don't "steal" the name of another player.
    => 1) Warn; 2) Kick; 3) 1 day ban.



    #7 - Don't use any kind of scripts/macro to shoot faster.
    => Using binds/scripts or a mouse macro is forbidden.
    => 1) Warn; 2) Kick; 3) 12 hours ban.




    - Punishments linked to Specific rules for each server -



    -= Kill the King =-


    #1 - No spawncamp.
    => Don't spawncamp the guards.
    => 1) Warn; 2) Kick; 3) 30 min ban; 4) 1 day ban.



    #2 - No harmful glitching.
    => It means, not going outside the map, no elevators.
    => 1) Kick; 2) 30 min ban; 3) 1 day ban.



    #3 - Don't suicide or leave the game when you're the King.
    => Doing this ends the round for everyone and can be very annoying.
    => 1) Kick; 2) 10 min ban.



    #4 - When you have a nade stuck on you, don't run to your teammates to kill them on purpose.
    => You're supposed to help your teammates, not to kill them. This is against the gameplay.
    => 1) Kick; 2) 10 min ban.




    -= Deathrun =-


    #1 - No lagjumping.
    => 1) 1 week ban; 2) Permanent ban. [Since October 2014: Autokick]



    #2 - No excessive trollish behavior.
    => Being the last jumper alive and just fooling around instead of running the map and thus making everyone wait, for instance. Or blocking a part of the map, etc.
    => 1) Warn or Kill; 2) Kick; 3) 1 hour ban.



    #3 - Respect the line in front of a room. [Currently dismissed]
    => When you reach the endroom(s), respect turns. First arrived enters first, 2nd arrived enters 2nd, etc.
    => 1) Kick.



    #4 - Don't glitch/Don't use bugs.
    => Don't glitch outside of the map or stuff like that, don't kill the activator if you haven't reached the end room.
    => 1) Kick; 2) 3 days ban; 3) Permanent ban.



    #5 - Don't activate on free.
    => Some maps are bugged and the activator can activate traps even if he gave free round. That's not allowed.
    => 1) Warn or Kill; 2) Kick; 3) 10 min ban.



    #6 - Don't suicide as activator.
    => Don't kill yourself on purpose when you're the activator. It ends the round for everyone and can be very annoying.
    => 1) Kick; 2) 10 min ban.




    Note that these punishments can be slightly adjusted according to the context (e.g. if the insult is really heavy, you can be kicked or even tempbanned directly without being warned first). This is true for all rules, except nothing can directly (i.e. on the very first violation of the rule) lead to a permanent ban except for cheating/hacking.


    Also, even though it's not specified here, any repeated bad behavior/rule breaking can end up leading to a permanent ban (e.g. repeated insults over several days or weeks, etc).



    Note for trusted players & members: You obviously don't have to know exactly which punishment should be applied in which case. For example, if you give a 5 minutes ban instead of a kick, it's no big deal. But perm banning instead of banning 1 day, or banning 1 day instead of kicking shouldn't happen. This thread is here to give you a large overview, on which you should base your actions.



    Additional note: If many trusted players or members are online at the same time, please don't use the warn command, just warn the player with a normal sentence. Otherwise the player will surely receive several warns at once for the same infraction, which would end up in an unfair direct tempban.

    Hello everybody!


    I created this thread so that if you have nice ideas, you can leave suggestions for new maps for our Kill the King server.



    First, please take good note that even if your suggestion is accepted, it may take a few days (or even weeks if you're unlucky) before the map is added on the server, depending on how busy I am.


    Now, before leaving your suggestions, please take notice of the required info that you'll need to provide in order for your suggestion to be taken into account:
    You must format your post this way, for each suggestion:


    *Map name:
    *Download link:
    *Size: Tiny, small, medium, large, huge
    *Screenshots/Images (at least one): Put them in a spoiler if they're big.


    Optionally, you can add:
    *A video showcasing the map:


    It's really easier to see how a map looks like with a video, but if you don't find one it's ok.


    I won't even bother looking at suggestions which do not provide all the information required, so be sure to double-check before posting.

    First, no need to state that it is 100% my opinion when I clearly stated it was. I feel like you're trying to imply that I don't mean what I say. I do know my opinion is not everyone's.


    Second, I don't care that you say smth which I disagree with; it's everyone's right to have his own opinion. My answer to your post was only sarcastic because your post was written in a condescending way (at least that's how I felt it; When you say that you "might consider it", it really sounds to me like it would be up to you whether he should be accepted or not).


    Third, you say that you don't blame him for anything, though you're clearly blaming him for not "being able to sort out his own members". Otherwise I guess you wouldn't "vote no". As I said it's not a problem to me, you indeed have the right to think this way, I just disliked the way you said it.

    Actually I wasn't sure he was the founder of the clan, even though it was kinda implied, it wasn't clearly stated. I agree that if you are the leader, your members' actions should maybe be taken into account (I still think if you're just a regular member, they shouldn't have any impact though).
    Well apparently he disbanded his clan now, and apologized, so I guess he agrees that some of his members weren't acting in the most mature way.
    This doesn't excuse everything that could have happened before indeed, but there are several people here who said he is a nice and friendly guy, so idk.

    That is smth that is more important to look into IMO, because I think his personal actions are more relevant to this topic than his members' actions. If he becomes trusted, he will be the only one to get the perms, not any of his clan members.
